Spiritual Director and Meditation Teacher
Deni received her Master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of California, Long Beach and has worked as a mental health therapist in the Sacramento area since 1994. She opened her practice in 1997, and also served as a Clinical Supervisor for various agencies between 2004 and 2017.
In 2005, Deni trained as a Mediator and Collaborative Professional, and joined the Sacramento Collaborative Practice Group (SCPG). She became a Divorce Coach and Child Specialist, as well as serving on a committee to establish protocols and practice for both Coaches and Child Specialists. From 2008 to 2018, Deni was part of the SCPG training team, training hundreds of Collaborative Professionals throughout California and neighboring states.
Since 2005, Deni has provided Private Confidential Mediation and Co-Parenting for many couples, helping them create workable Parenting Plans and establish positive and peaceful co-parenting relationships.
Deni received her Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Morei Derekh Spiritual Direction Program in 2011. She runs spiritual connection groups and sees spiritual directees individually. She also brings an interfaith spiritual awareness to all of her counseling work.
Deni received training as a meditation teacher through the Institute of Jewish Spirituality. She teaches meditation and uses it in Mindfulness Based Counseling with clients who have anxiety or depression.
